So I’m a total creep and took a picture of this guy’s shirt when I was behind him in line at a restaurant because I thought it was a super cute idea for a Dad’s Day shirt. I love T-Shirts, so sue me.

This masterpiece (circa the beginning of time) hung in the shittiest fraternity lounge at University of South Carolina… My home for a year.

It was later cleaned and moved into the kush frat-castle.

The lounge was a place you will never know and can’t begin to imagine..
I miss it every day.

Fraturday

confessionsofacollegiatebitch:

Yesterday was fraturday. A day of drinking at the nearby fraternity with all the brothers. A single game of flip cup at 3 PM quickly turned into a four table (that’s 50 people) celebration of day drinking.

History of the Sigma Chi fraternity

drclempellett:

by Dr. Clem Pellett

As a member of the Beta Rho Chapter of the Sigma Chi Fraternity, I became a brother of the group during my time as a student at Montana State University. Sigma Chi was founded in late June of 1855 at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. The society’s foundation originated from the schism between members of the Delta Kappa Epsilon, and seven men decided to develop a new fraternity that would “promote the concepts of Friendship, Justice, and Learning; to build brotherhood and life long membership among members from all walks of life.” The seven founders hoped to build a society that would be accepting of all men worthy of such a mission. While the term “fellowship” was used to describe all fraternities, the founders of Sigma Chi strived to include true friendship as one of the society’s principles. Each member’s education was put before any social responsibilities, and Sigma Chi became dedicated to the pursuit of fair dealings in all campus relations. Sigma Chi now offers numerous scholarships and awards that help young men continue their education. The organization, which strongly relies on three principles of “friendship, justice, and learning,” aims to develop the world’s leaders of tomorrow by instilling honorable values in the students of today.
